We visited Cylla, a modern Greek dining experience in Central Birmingham to try their discounted a la carte menu to kick off our 2026 visits and our first entry to our recommendation map this year.
Starting with the artisan bread selection which is combination of fresh bread and pitta with Tirokauteri, which is a dip combining feta, chilli and florine pepper. We also took some of the fried olives, which made for the perfect start to this meal - whatever you do, don’t skip the bread and dipping.
For the mains - we opted to go for the Mezedes for a taps/sharing experience. We opted for Lamb Baklava, Grilled Feta, Prawn Saganaki, Fried Green Peppers & the Greek Taco - the highlights being the Lamb Baklava and the Greek Taco.
The Greek taco is Soutzoukaki (Mix of Beef, Lamb, Pork Mince) in Rhodian Pita topped with onion, salsa, lemon & yogurt. The lamb baklava was served almost like a spring roll, with the filo pastry around the meat it was another standout dish.
We can’t wait to try the roast dinner here, which looks amazing and will definitely be back to update this post with our review!
